Salary:           R 35 000 - R 60 000 Per Month Dependent upon experience

Our client is a leading company in the drilling industry, specialising in drill rig operations.  We take pride in our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation.  As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and certified Red Seal Mechanic to join our team.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Red Seal Mechanic, you will be a vital part of our team responsible for ensuring reliability and performance of our drill rig equipment.  Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Conducting regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on drill rigs and associate equipment.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with drill rig machinery.

  • Performing routine and complex repairs on drill rig components, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

  • Collaborating with the drilling team to ensure equipment readiness and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all repair and maintenance activities. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Red Seal certification as a licensed heavy equipment technician or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing drill rigs or heavy-duty construction equipment.

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 

  • Accurate and precise attention to detail

 

SHIFT PATTERN

  • 5/5/5       5 (five) shifts (day and night) - 5 (five) days off
