Position:       Factories Inland Sales Manager

Salary:           Market related dependent upon experience


  • Relevant Degree in Food Technology  or equivalent

  • 5 years+ years’ experience in sales (any industry)preferable in FMCG + experience in the handling of key accounts

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Plan fortnightly call schedules  

  • Plan sales calls to ensure a value-added approach    

  • Learn and apply client classifications 

  • Plan on building market share across all categories   

  • Drive and achieve, Ingredients volumes / budget 

  • Drive and achieve casing volumes/budget 

  • Build on and research product and industry knowledge 

  • Work on promotional activity as per guidelines required    

  • Build client relationships and ensure service effectiveness

  • Submit weekly sales and ADAPT reports by the required deadline 

  • Proactively look for new business and market opportunities 

  • Manage sales administration and other duties as required  

  • Ensure deliveries are carried out to company standards 

  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, feedback from field activity

  • Generate ideas and implement special sales activities and innovative sessions

  • Participate in demos, promotions and marketing events and evaluate the success thereof

  • Compile a variety of sales reports and sales feedback as required 

  • Participate in weekly ADAPT sessions

  • Sales analysis and reporting

  • Competitor analysis

  • Sales, market share, client categorisation analysis report back and monitor

  • Work in conjunction with the KZN team towards achievement of company objectives

  • Growth of sales and market share

  • Optimising sales & market share through client relationship management


Additional information:  

  • Drivers licence and travel is required
