Salary:        R 1 Million - R 1.5 Million P/a dependent upon 

Our client, in the spice, retail butchery industry, is looking for a dynamic, experienced Senior Sales Manager to assist in the achievement of sales, volume and GP budgets. To motivate and support Area Sales Managers and Sales Reps to achieve targets.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant Business Degree or National Diploma

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Analytical thinking ability and able to make good judgements

  • Computer literacy

  • Commercial understanding and business acumen

  • Planning and organising skills

  • Minimum of 5 years Management of people – ability to inspire, motivate and maintain control

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, feedback from field activity

  • Generate ideas and implement special sales activities and innovative sessions

  • Participate in demos, promotions and marketing events and evaluate the success thereof

  • Compile a variety of sales reports and sales feedback as required

  • Participate in weekly ADAPT sessions

  • Travel with Sales Reps and provide mentoring and coaching as required

  • Team development and motivation

  • Sales analysis and reporting

  • Compliance monitoring and follow up

  • Competitor analysis

  • Sales, market share, client categorisation analysis report back and monitor

  • Manage team towards achievement of company objectives

  • Growth of sales and market share

  • Optimising sales & market share through client relationship management

 

Requirements:

  • 5 year’s achievement track record in Sales at a Senior Area Sales/Regional level (FMCG / Food)

  • Prepared to work overtime as and when required

  • Flexible to travel

  • Driver’s License is essential
