Role Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Ecommerce Specialist to manage and optimize our online sales channels, including Amazon, Takealot, Shopify, and other relevant platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing online revenue, ensuring best-in-class product visibility, and optimizing performance through strategic merchandising, pricing, and promotional tactics.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Management:

Manage product listings, inventory, pricing, and promotions across Amazon, Takealot, Shopify, and other online marketplaces.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
-
Drive online sales growth by implementing platform-specific strategies, identifying new opportunities, and analyzing performance metrics.
Product Listing Optimization:
-
Create and optimize product titles, descriptions, keywords, images, and SEO to increase traffic and conversion rates.
Campaign Management:

Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including platform ads (e.g., Amazon PPC, Takealot Sponsored Ads) and email promotions.
Analytics & Reporting:
Monitor KPIs (conversion rate, traffic, ROAS, AOV, etc.) and generate regular reports to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Customer Experience:

Ensure a seamless online shopping experience by managing customer reviews, resolving issues, and improving product Q&A sections.
Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, design, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure a cohesive ecommerce strategy.
Compliance & Policy Adherence:

Ensure all listings comply with the policies of the respective platforms and maintain brand integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-
Proven experience (3+ years) managing ecommerce platforms (especially Amazon, Takealot, and Shopify)

Solid understanding of ecommerce marketing, platform algorithms, and digital merchandising

Experience with ecommerce tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, or similar

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

Excellent written communication and copywriting skills

Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, and paid media strategies

Knowledge of logistics, inventory planning, and fulfillment processes

Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have:

Experience with platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, or Lazada

Graphic design or basic HTML/CSS knowledge

Exposure to international ecommerce markets
