Salary:  R 60 000 - R 80 000 Per Month Dependent upon experience

 

National Industrial Equipment Manager – based at the Johannesburg Branch
Reporting to the Industrial Equipment Director


Our client develops, manufactures, installs and maintains high speed industrial equipment/machinery in the food manufacturing sector
Products are sold throughout South Africa, Africa as a whole, Europe & North America.

 

As the Industrial Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical management

  • Developing new services/products and concepts for the assigned market segment.

  • Grow the technical capabilities in-house

  • Deal with external stakeholders to ensure quality & delivery of services

  • Strong understanding of processing & technical process engineering within the food & related markets

  • Liaise and interact with Customers through the installation, commissioning and maintenance of machinery and equipment

  • Customer support & process engineering

  • Technical formulations & solution formulation based on engagements with customers

  • Oversee and manage the workshop

  • Oversee and manage the spares department

  • Staff management & leadership

  • Quality Control

  • Drive continuous improvements & adherence to quality standards

  • Ensure high quality delivery of responsibilities within the business across plant & support

  • Business management & department management

  • Define processed & establish/develop Best Practice

  • Monitoring the market for the development of new technologies and trends.

  • Project Management

  • New equipment acquisition

  • Upgrade projects across existing infrastructure

  • Extensive travel nationally & internationally

The successful candidate will have, at a minimum:

​

  • A related Engineering Degree from a recognized University

  • At least 10 years of working experience within a large international or manufacturing company

  • At least 5 years within a senior management role

  • Management of extensive CAPEX & OPEX accounts

  • South African citizen

 

In addition,


You will have a strong track record of delivering on technical engineering solutions & supporting diverse stakeholders in a local & international market.
This individual will be an autonomous worker with strong technical skills as well as people skills. You will travel extensively & be capable of working independently. The successful candidate will be a selfmotivator & leader with the ability to grow a team & develop further capabilities in line with customer
