Salary:  R 12 000 - R 15 000 per Month - 3 month fixed term contract with a view to go permanent

 

Brief Role Description:

 

Responsible for ensuring Double Glazed Glass manufactured meet all quality requirements and meets all client requirements before release/shipping. This person will report to SHEQ Manager. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Properly Inspect & Monitor Double Glaze product/materials meet quality requirement.

  • Random DG Glass Incoming and Outgoing random Product Inspection.

  • Generate Delivery Note and Pallet label for Internal DG Glass Customer.

  • Measure product dimensions & compare the final product to the Specified product requirements.

  • Document inspection outcome by completing specified Quality reports then submit them to SHEQ Manager

  • Communicate with Production team about quality control concerns to improve excellence.

  • Monitor Requested Concession by Productions to release product not fully complying with Quality Standard which has been rejected by Quality Control.

  • Identify, set aside & document all suspect or defective products/components. Discuss inspection result with Production Team & SHEQ Manager

  • Follow Up on Action taken by Operations Team on Non-conforming units to ensure they address on time.

 

Performance measures are as follows:

  1. WT: 50% - Number of Customer/site complaint (Product related)

  2. WT: 30% - Quality Inspection Outcome & rejected units Documentation.

  3. WT: 20% - Accuracy of Internal Delivery notes

 

Skills requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics & Physical Science

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

  • Worked in Double Glaze Glass Products or Glass Manufacturing would be advantage

  • Strong understanding of quality control standard & product specifications.

  • Ability to understand/interpret drawing.

  • Good communication (Writing, Reading & Speaking)

  • Attention to details

  • Ability to work independently and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
