OVERVIEW OF ROLE 

 

Our clients Consulting Division is looking for an Associate Director - New Business Development,  to join their business. At its heart the role is about helping to build a pipeline of new business – primarily focused on building this pipeline from a set of new clients. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Associate Director will be an experienced consultant and advisor who leads the new business development function in the business. They will play an integral role in the business elevating the importance of business development and driving new business volumes. 

 

The role will include: 

 

  • Dedicated to opening new clients for the consulting division within the company

  • Farming existing clients by working closely with the existing client leads and teams within the consulting business and more broadly across the company (including the companies business development team)

  • Actively scope out new business opportunities through your established network, analysis of data, and existing knowledge of the industry.

  • Drive and assist with writing of proposals and winning of new work. 

  • Lead client conversations around our offer and develop strong points of view on brands and insight. 

  • Provide weekly, monthly updates on business development to the Managing Partner 

  • Establish strong and on-going relationships with clients who you will use to build your network as well as within the company network. 

  • Support the finance partner with pipeline management, sales tracking, reporting and any other process related tasks to ensure the tracking of new business 

  • Work collaboratively with the broader business to identify opportunities with either new clients or existing clients 

  • Work with teams to provide solutions and inputs into live projects, when and where necessary. 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

 

  • An experienced marketing consultant with at least 10 years of relevant experience, coupled with a natural desire and energy to sell, develop business and network. 

  • An individual who has gained a strong working knowledge in the world of marketing and consulting. 

  • An individual who displays strong strategic thinking across a diverse set of marketing disciplines – positioning, strategy, innovation and insights. 

  • A true networker- someone who has a passion for new business and is a natural networker. 

  • Proven people skills: a great communicator, able to collaborate and build relationships with both clients and our team.   Strong written and verbal skills for proposal and presentation purposes.
